Multi Use Games Area

The tennis courts on King George V Playing Field are in need of a revamp.

We have consulted with young people and they supported the idea of upgrading the old tennis courts to a Multi Use Games area (MUGA) with an artificial surface, new fencing and goals.

Following a tendering process the Council agreed a cost of just over £52,000.

The Council has set aside £25,000 towards the project and is seeking grant aid for the remaining funding.

We have been successful with two grant applications: £1,000 from Kent Playing Fields Association and £5,500 from Kent County Council.

We will keep you posted as the project proceeds.
