Parish Councillor expenses

Parish Councillors are volunteers, they do not get paid.

They are allowed to claim legitimate expenses, such as mileage for going to a meeting outside the Parish on Council business, £0.45 per mile.

Councillors who have been elected are allowed to Claim a Basic Allowance, currently set at £330 per year, April – March each year.

Councillors who are co-opted are not allowed to Claim the Basic Allowance.
